Our two weeks in Maine are over. I picked up some beautiful white teddies from Katie Carter of Bandirose. Pictures as soon as I unpack the camera.
Plenty of new babies while we were gone, too, including a pair of cream teddies. No texels litters yet but soon, I hope.
I just want to add that rural America is still there for anyone who takes the time to get off the Interstates. Walmart hasn't taken over everything, not yet.
More soon. But I have a mountain of stuff to take care of here. Two weeks is a really long time to be way from home.
Welcome back Michele! I hope you don't mind me posting that feed article while you were away. With all our crazy feed issues it seemed appropriate. I know ho it is to try and get caught up after a long trip. I find if I throw most everything away and only respond to the very urgent/important, things get under control quickly. Most email messages get deleted without getting read, most mail gets chucked. If it was very important and I accidentally throw it away or delete it, they always try and contact me again, so it's never a real problem. Glad you were able to find someone to care for the pigs so long!

Thanks much for jumping in. And what a helpful article, too. I really liked it.
I am getting caught up. We had lots of appointments and stuff to take care of last week. My next big job is to put together my sales list for some pigs that need to move along to make room for some promising youngsters and some new stock I bought in New England, including some beautiful Bandirose white teddies to put with my buffs/saffrons. BTW, If you get a chance to post something about cream breeding, or the buff project, please jump in. There are several breeders in this region who are working on Cream teddies, and would appreciate the information.
Next on the list is to start calling around to get a handle on the feed situation.
